Description of Stepper Motor
Stepper motor converts electrical power into mechanical power which can divide a full rotation into an expansive number of steps. Also, it is a brushless, synchronous electric motor. The motor’s position can be controlled accurately without any feedback mechanism, as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application.
Application of Stepper Motor
The speed of the motor is controlled by the frequency of the pulses. The stepper motor is used for precise positioning with a motor, such as hard disk drives, robotics, antennas, telescopes, and some toys. Stepper motors cannot run at high speeds but have a high holding torque.
